New metal detectors are being released every year. In this blog post, we’re going to go through the newest models that have been announced for 2024.

New Garrett Metal Detectors

Garrett GoldMaster 24k

The GoldMaster 24k is the newest Garrett Metal Detector and is intended for gold prospecting. Originally designed by White’s Electronics before the company merger in 2020, this 48 kHz detector is great for beginners who want to start prospecting but can’t afford a dedicated gold machine. Unlike the Garrett AT Gold, the GoldMaster is not recommended for other types of detecting like coins, jewelry, and relic due to its high frequency. It has a really nice design, plenty of adjustments, and a good selection of accessory coils.

Garrett ACE Apex

The Garrett ACE Apex is the most recent model in their general treasure hunting lineup. It was announced in 2020 and stands at the top of their famous ACE series lineup. It’s a super simple detector and perfect for beginners. This would be an upgrade from the ACE 200, 300, or 400 models. But it’s not just another upgraded model in an existing lineup. It was really built from the ground up and features a brand new technology for Garrett called Multi-Flex. This allows you to choose between multiple single frequencies or a range of multi-frequencies.

The ACE APEX also has built-in wireless Z-Lynk audio, iron audio volume adjustment, a new DD Viper coil to accommodate the frequency options, a large LCD screen, five audio tones, and a hybrid audio system between proportional audio and binary.

New Minelab Metal Detectors

Minelab GPX 6000

The GPX 6000 is a new and improved version of the original GPX 5000. This detector has an upgraded control box, lighter weight shaft, longer battery life, and other useful features that make it easier to use than ever before. It’s powered by a new technology called GeoSense-PI which allows you to make all types of gold in all places with the same machine.
